
Isela Trujillo
Isela is a Journalism student at the University of Southern California (USC), Class of 2030. She serves on the student board of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), reports on USC Women’s Soccer, and is an anchor/producer for Dímelo, a bilingual student newscast.
A passionate flag football athlete, Isela was honored with the 2025 Tony York Unity Award by the San Francisco 49ers for her leadership, community service, and positive impact, earning a $5,000 scholarship and Super Bowl tickets. She was also recognized as a Bay Area News Group Athlete of the Week.
In 2026, Isela founded Latinas Who Flag, an organization dedicated to expanding opportunities and resources for Latinas in flag football. An alumna of Athletes for Justice, she remains committed to social justice, youth empowerment, and community service, including her family's annual efforts to provide meals to farmworkers in the Salinas Valley.
Isela looks forward to collaborating with ELLA Sports Foundation to inspire and empower the next generation of female athletes.
