Manny Travieso

Manuel “Manny” Travieso, originally from Puerto Rico and raised in Los Angeles, California, is a seasoned softball coach with over 17 years of experience in competitive softball. As a travel ball coach, he had led his teams to top five finishes in prominent tournaments across the United States, including Triple Crown, PGF, USSSA, and USA Softball. Currently, he serves as the Director and creator of one of the best tournaments in Travel ball, the Triple Crown International Challenge, and has held the position of assistant coach for the Junior National Olympic Puerto Rico softball team. A notable highlight of his coaching career was leading the first-ever USA travel softball team in a historic match against the National Olympic Cuban Team in Havana, Cuba.

Coach Manny also served as an assistant softball coach at Vermont State University for two years under head coach Eric Kraut. He is a proud member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and the Athletic Director at ELLA (Empowering Leadership in Latina Athletes), an organization dedicated to supporting all female athletes.

Now entering his 6th full season as the Head Coach of the Providence High School Varsity Softball team, Coach Manny aims to provide his athletes with a strong foundation, competitive play, and aspirations of winning the CIF championship. Under his leadership, the PHS team has achieved three consecutive league titles and reached the CIF playoffs every year.

Manny attended Long Beach State University and has been married to his wife, Patty, for 26 years. They have two daughters: Lilly, 24, who played Division 1 softball at Cornell University before earning her master’s at The George Washington University, and Giselle, 19, an aspiring artist and outstanding international student. The Travieso family resides in Burbank, CA.
