Tony Medina has dedicated more than 40 years to coaching softball and baseball, inspiring athletes of all ages and skill levels through his passion, energy, and commitment to player development.

As the founder of Medina Softball Clinics, Tony offers weekly fielding and skills clinics throughout Southern California. His expertise has taken him across the country and beyond, conducting clinics in more than 22 states, including Alaska, as well as Canada, American Samoa, and the Hawaiian Islands of Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island.

Known for his infectious enthusiasm and dynamic coaching style, Coach Tony creates a fast-paced, engaging, and supportive learning environment. His hands-on approach emphasizes visual instruction, skill demonstrations, precision fungo hitting, and proper throwing techniques. He challenges athletes to push their limits while building confidence, improving fundamentals, and developing a love for the game.

Throughout his career, Tony has trained and mentored countless athletes, including Olympians, professional players, collegiate athletes, high school students, and recreational players. He has also coached nationally ranked competitive travel softball teams. Among his most rewarding experiences, however, are the opportunities to work with athletes with special needs, particularly adults participating in adaptive softball programs.

Beyond coaching, Tony is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He regularly organizes fundraising and benefit clinics to support underserved leagues, athletes, and families facing financial hardships. Through these efforts, he continues to make softball more accessible while using sports as a platform for inclusion, empowerment, and positive change.
